Cider Lane - Bath & Body Works

I already have a ton of these candles. I went a little nuts on the $10 3 wick candle sale last year. When I got a coupon to get a 3 wick for $10 in Influenster's Beauty Blogger Voxbox, I caved instantly. White Barn makes these for Bath & Body Work's. They burn evenly & are highly scented. 

 I chose Cider Lane. It smells just like caramel apples.  My favorite one is the spiced cider one. They don't carry it anymore but I have a few stashed. I also picked up some mini candles, turkey candle holder & more shea butter socks. The turkey is so cute, I couldn't resist.

I was surprised that it had so much in it. The item that I was most excited to try - was of course, the broken item. So sad :(  I've contacted both NYC & Influenster, I'm hoping to get a replacement. They sent a NYC Individual Eyes Compact. It comes w/ a primer & illuminator. These retail for $4.99 - what a steal!

 

I got a mahogany teakwood mini candle from Bath & Body Works. White Barn makes these candles & this one smells like cologne. I already have a ton of these candles. Fake lashes! This is a starter kit from Kiss.  I'm afraid I'm going to glue my eyes shut w/ this. I've never worn fake lashes. I'm not cool enough :) 

 

They also included a tube of Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Cream. I have long, wavy & super frizzy hair. I am always on the lookout for something that will help w/ frizz. High hopes for this one. It smells like jasmine.

 

Spin Pins from Goody. I used to use these! These are great for buns & other up do's. Because my hair is so thick & long - I have to use 2 pairs. 4 of these suckers is heavy! It gave me a headache so I quit using them.

 

I was lucky to get a bonus. Vitabath's fragrance mist in Wild Cherry. HUGE bottle. Will last forever.

 

I almost forgot - Eboost's Energy Drink Mix. I love that's its all natural.

 

What a box! I paid $0. Yep, influenster is free!! Happy dance.

 



 

Little Black Bag

This was supposed to be my last bag. I made the mistake of checking out their new products. I opened up 2 more bags. Geez! No willpower at ALL!

 

Vieta's Justine in black. I seriously need to pay better attention to sizes. This bag is much larger than I thought it would be. My mistake but it looked small in the pictures. Not sure if I am keeping this one.

 

 

I nearly sold my soul for this wallet. Its soooo cute! Really big though.

 

 

Cargo's Palette in London. Blush in Tonga. I LOVE this blush...its so pretty.

 

 

The head band is really cute - its beaded. Still playing around w/ watt's up. It doesn't show up very well on my skin so far.

Bzz Campaign - Smartfood Selects

I got to try the feta herb hummus & garlic tomato basil hummas popped chips from Smartfood Selects. They are like a mature version of pop chips yet these are bursting with flavor. They have 2 other flavors - cinnamon brown sugar multi-grain and italian herb multi-grain. My hubby really liked these too. I wish the bag was bigger.

I also got to try the buffalo cheddar popcorn. I don't care for it. On the other hand, my grandma loves it. To each his own. The other two flavors - cinnamon brown sugar & parmesan herb sound delicious.

They also have sour cream onion flavored puffed corn. It sounds yummy. Wish I had more coupons!

Natural food has never been full of flavor like this. Usually, its pretty drab tasting. I'm looking forward to trying other flavors.

Love with Food offers 8 food samples for $12 a month. They donate a meal to a hungry child for every box sold. I got a killer deal - 3 months for $7.

This box had something for everyone. My son loves the go go squeez applesauce. Hubby loves anything from Mrs. Mays. I really like the seed & fruit mix from Enjoy Life. I'm not a big tea fan so was a little bummed to get a variety pack. The snikiddy cheese fries & cranberry orange cookie are ok.

Glossybox - October

I got my box early for once! This months theme is Spa Luxe.

Meh. Not my favorite. Still better than the senna lipgloss month. I got a dupe - Illamasqua's purity. A dupe already? I've emailed them, still waiting for a response.  UPDATE - They are sending me a different color. I choose Load. Nice freakin name! Ha ha

I got the body oil instead of Carole's Daughter souffle. Sad panda :(

I'm diggin' the blood orange loofa soap. It smells yummy & looks like a great exfoliater.

They included Alterna's shine mist. Meh. I have quite a few shine sprays that I don't use.

The last item is a duo lipstick/lipgloss from Model Co. It retails for $39, it looks cheap to me.

The Look Bag - October

I signed up for The Look Bag. They promise 5 samples a month, with 2 of them being full size for $12.95 a month. This is their relaunch month. They decided to take a few months off to regroup after having multiple problems.

It came in a bubble mailer just days after I signed up.

 

4 full size items! I got a deep matte eggplant shadow - so pretty. I like the pixi lip and line primer too. There is a pic w/ it under Mireness lip bomb in red in the post under this one (Ipsy - Oct). I lick my lips a lot so they are always super dry. This made them smooth even though my lips looked like sandpaper right before.

 

 

Bad News. The stila eyeshadow is expired. Not only is it expired but it was discontinued 3 years ago.  I really feel for the look bag. According to them, their vendor sold them expired product. I emailed them personally and was told they would be making a public announcement soon. I'm not sure what to do. Cancel? Wait and See? I really hope they address this soon.

Overall, I do like the bag though I would like it more if I could use the eyeshadow. The pop polish is full sized. I've seen others layer it over the orange circus polish (ipsy). I thought about doing my toes this way but who am I kidding. I only change colors when its really chipped and looks horrible :)

Are you canceling?

UPDATE - I got a email from The Look Bag that states if you got the Stila eyeshadow, you will get an additional product next month. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I don't think its fair to the people who already canceled. I'm giving them another month.

Ipsy - Oct

Ok, I'm going to call them Ipsy now. I've accepted the change :) Their October bag is epic. Its awesome. Its fantabblyastic.

I'm really excited to try the balm's body builder mascara. I already have a million mascaras opened so I haven't tried it yet. It has big shoes to fill - My HG is Lancome's hypnose drama. I've heard rave reviews about it though.

Another liquid liner...yikes! It looks like a nice, high end one. Probably going on ebay.

A deluxe sample of Couture Colour's pequi oil treatment. It's supposed to help control frizz & revive super damaged hair. I haven't used it yet. It's in this huge bucket of "stuff to try". Yep a bucket.

I got the lip bomb in #2 (red). I wanted to trade it for #9 (nude) but after looking @ my stash, I decided to keep it. I have so many pinks/nudes already. That said, this is so not me! It is really pigmented & gloss though it did feather. This sucker retails for $35.

 I got set #8 which is the one I really wanted. I LOVE the deep eggplant color (the sparkly dark purple). I broke it while trying to get the pan out (broke all of them actually) so I'm planning on buying the whole set full size. They are quite reasonable at $1.99 each plus you get 20% off w/ your Ipsy code. They are super pigmented.

Loose Button is the leading beauty sub in Canada. Recently, they opened up subscriptions for the US. I signed up for the fall season & received my fall box last week.

I was able to request a fragrance free box. These were supposed to be shipped off early September but didn't ship out until last week. I signed up late so I didn't mind waiting but others signed up late July. I was happy they shipped from the US. I was wondering how long we would have to wait if they were shipped from Canada.

I just can't escape this freakin' razor. 3rd one so far! What annoys me is that Walmart gave these out for free. This is the 2nd beauty sub that I have paid for & got the same exact razor. I normally would have been excited about the liner but I am swimming in it right now. I'm going to tuck the nail polish strips in my moms Christmas presents. I don't really like the nail polish color but I'm going to trade it for the balm's Mary-Lou Manizer. I LOVE the actual box itself but its not worth $26! Not a horrible box but I won't be getting another one. It just didn't blow me away. I'm still figuring out the total value so I will update that ASAP. What do you think? Worth $26?

I just had to post this. I never have empties. I usually get tired of products & give them away. It didn't make much of a dent in my stash but it feels good :)

I'm really behind on box reviews. Loose button, the look bag, ipsy & beauty army came last week. Love with food came yesterday & I think more are on their way...yikes!

Bzz Campaign - Glade Expressions Collection.

To be honest, when I first heard about this campaign - I didn't have high hopes. I have been on a holy grail search for the perfect reed/oil diffuser. I've spent quite a bit over the years.

Boy was I wrong! I got their new oil diffuser in pineapple mangosteen. My whole house smells like pineapple! I love its modern design - it will go with any decor. They also have a white oil diffuser.

The best thing about it? Its affordable. I've spent up to $50 for oil diffusers!

I really like their new sprayer. It has a sleek, modern design to it. Much better than the regular ugly bottles. I got the sprayer in pineapple mangosteen too. They have 3 other scents available - Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice & Lavender & Juniper Berry. I'm looking forward to trying fuji apple next.

Glossybox - September

What a awesome box! I'm thrilled w/ Septembers glossybox.

I love this shampoo & conditioner by Global Keratin. I have long, wavy & very frizzy hair. I am always looking for products for my frizz issue. This set actually tames my frizz & it smells really good. The shampoo has a gel like consistency.

A full size bb cream! I got shade 31 which seems to be perfect for me. LOVE this cream, it provides full coverage. Pink & I don't get along so the lipstick (full size) went on ebay.

I got the box variation this month! I haven't tried it yet but I'm looking forward to trying it. Another full size item! UPDATE - I love this makeup remover! Its gentle & I'm digging that I don't have to wash my face off afterwards.

I picked up some halloween polish over the weekend. This is glitter goblin from China Glaze & Orly's Monster Mash (green). Don't make fun of my little nails! Ha ha

MyGlam/Ipsy September

My first month w/ ipsy...I must say I'm pretty impressed. Circus nail polish, Mirabella eyeshadow, Carole's Daughter split end sealer, Jane lip gloss (they accidentally send 2) & Soho smudge brush for $10!

It came in this super cute wristlet.

 

 

 

The only thing that bothered me was that the eyeshadow came in the pan only - no compact. I'm a crafty girl so I used this cigarette (no I don't smoke!) holder to make a compact.

 

 

I cut down a magnet from the fridge to line the inside.

 

 

Really easy to make. You could use almost any container that shuts.
