Glossybox February

February's theme is the month of love. I assume because of Valentine's Day. Here it is March and Valentine's Day is long gone!

I'm actually quite pleased w/ this box. I LOVE eye products & they have included two!!

Another black eyeliner? We just got one in December's box. If GB wants to keep including eyeliner - that's fine but please send other colors besides black (or brown).

I hate pink. Hate it! It all stems back from my childhood. My favorite color was RED and my mom did my entire room in pink w/ lace and roses. I hated it. I know she worked hard on it but I felt so misunderstood.

My eyes need some serious help. I have fine lines under my eyes - the kind that you can't cover up. Concealer makes it look worse because it creases. These eye patches are supposed to reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles and revitalizes the skin around the eye. Yes please.

 

 

Pureology Serious Colour Care - Multi Tasking Hair Beautifier for Color Treated Hair

Deluxe Sample

This spray is supposed to prime, protect and perfect color treated hair. I've given up coloring my hair. I've learned to embrace my metallic high lights (grey hair!).

 

Renu - Lip and Eye Active Lift - Deluxe Sample

This cream is supposed to smooth fine lines and expression lines. Plumps deeper wrinkles, reduces dark circles and reduces under eye puffiness. I LOVE eye creams so I am looking forward to trying this. It's a generous size too.

 

This is going to be my last post for awhile. I have a lot going on in my personal life and I'm feeling very overwhelmed. The truth is, my heart just isn't in it anymore. I may come back when things are settled down but it's good bye for now.

Anatomicals - You need a Blooming Shower Deluxe Sample

Hubbster uses so much shower gel - I'm grateful to have this so he will stay away from my beloved stash of handmade soaps! I hate floral scents but this one actually smells pretty good. A decent size too. 

Michael Todd - Pumpkin Mask Deluxe Sample

I've been wanting to try this since Ipsy had these in their bags. I wasn't able to get anyone to trade w/ me. So excited to try it! I love masks, I love pumpkin. It should be awesome sauce.

Naobay - Oxgenating Cream Deluxe Sample

Another freakin' moisturizer. I'm all moisturized out. My mom groaned when I told her I have another moisturizer for her :D

Ardency Inn - Punker World's Baddest Eyeliner Full Size

If only it was purple! But that's ok. My mom loves these marker style eyeliners so it's going to her. I never wear black eyeliner - I need color!

October's box is a collaboration w/ Byrdie - an online magazine for all things beauty. I usually love their collaboration boxes so I was super excited to see what goodies I would get.

2 full size items this month!

Tarte - Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara - This is one of the full size items. I love the packaging & I'm looking forward to trying it. Retails $23

Fresh - Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream. Deluxe sample .50oz  It's described as a lightweight, daily moisturizer age-defying moisturizer for all skin types. It's supposed to moisturize skin for 24 hours after application. It sounds like a perfect winter moisturizer - I'm excited to try it. Full size (1.7oz) retails $42

Bvlgari - Au the Vert. Deluxe sample .17oz  I'm not a fan of fragrance so I wasn't thrilled to get this. It is a cute little bottle though. Mine is on ebay :)  Full size (2.5oz) retails $85

Sesha Skin Therapy Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Mask. One Time Use Packet - retails $9. It claims to smooth fine lines & wrinkles w/ peptides & botanical extracts. Calms the skin from environment stresses & rejuvenates it back to a youthful glow. I love masks - I'm going to try mine tonight. Some people got exfoliating gel instead of the mask. There is a 40% off coupon for Sesha products included. 

Balance Me Shine On Tinted Lip Salve in Super Soft Beige. This is the other full size product - retails $16.50. It claims to smooths, hydrates & adds gloss to lips. Everyone got the same color. $16.50 really? I would never pay that. It's gotten good reviews but I'm just not feeling the color. I'm still going to try it.

I wish I would have gotten this at the beginning of summer! It doesn't expire until 2016 so I will use it next summer. Its scented w/ lavender and retails $9

Novex - Brazilian Keratin Hair Care Treatment Cream

I thought this was protein powder @ first glance! This is a extra deep hair cream - I have super frizzy hair so this will definitely be used. Retails $4.99

Jelly Pong Pong - Lip Blush

This is a lipstain that hydrates like a balm. I got marshmallow pink, it also comes in cranberry.

It's pretty but I would never pay $18 - way too spendy for what you get. 

Sue Devitt - Triple C-Weed Pressed Powder

Holy Cannoli - Can it be? GB actually sent me the right color!

Super excited to try this, it has green tea in it and for some reason, this makes me excited :)

BB Matte! What a awesome product to try. Until I noticed that I got light to medium. Not going to work for me :(  I emailed but that's the only shade they have. Gb is going to send me something else.

I love hair products but I have heard only bad things about Brazilian Blowout. They are rumored to use high levels of cancer causing chemicals. While the masque may not contain cancer causing chemicals, I don't feel comfortable using it. I already traded it w/ a few other items for a Enchanted Polish! Score :)

OMG - Bvlgari again? They sent out the soap & bath tea already of this fragrance. I'm not a perfumy girl so meh. It could be worse I suppose.

The makeup cleansing tissues are a bonus to the box. I love makeup wipes - this will definitely be used.

I love little nail minis! They sent baker street - a gorgeous cobalt blue color.

I was so excited to try Figs & Rouge until I noticed it was cherry. I hate everything cherry - the smell makes me dry heave. The packaging is super cute and I love that it's petroleum free.

So much better than last month! What do you think of the July box?

Glossybox - June

This months theme is American Beauty. It is curated by Dallas Shaw (fashion illustrator). The collaboration boxes are usually much better than the regular monthly ones. She chose products from her most favorite American brands.

When I found out that Bondi nail polish was going to be on the box, I got another box. I've been wanting to try their polishes for awhile now & they created 6 different polishes for this box. I really don't know what happened but Bondi had to pull out at the last minute. I get the impression that it's Dallas's fault but I really don't know for sure. Spa Ritual polish replaced the Bondi polish. I wouldn't have bought another box for a Spa Ritual polish! Oh well.

Every box has the same oil and perfumes. The are different variations of the lipstick, nail polish and hair product. 

The oil smells really good. I'm going to use it after shaving. There are 6 different scents of perfume. One of mine spilled and the whole box reeks! 

A little disappointed to get 2 shampoos but at least it's usable!

The gold polish is solstice. The purple creme is solitude. Meh

I was lucky to get 2 different colors of lipstick.

The lipsticks are nude w/ a tinted core. The first color is fair to light (pink). The second color (coral) is medium to tan. I love the medium-tan one. It's a gorgeous coral that looks awesome on my very dry lips.

Despite the controversy and significant delays in shipping, I love this box. The lipstick alone makes the whole box for me and I got 2!

I never got around to posting this. I wasn't thrilled w/ this box but it's much better than May's. I love the blush in haute. It's a color I would never buy (looks like a bronzer) but it looks really good on me.
