The Look Bag - October

I signed up for The Look Bag. They promise 5 samples a month, with 2 of them being full size for $12.95 a month. This is their relaunch month. They decided to take a few months off to regroup after having multiple problems.

It came in a bubble mailer just days after I signed up.

 

4 full size items! I got a deep matte eggplant shadow - so pretty. I like the pixi lip and line primer too. There is a pic w/ it under Mireness lip bomb in red in the post under this one (Ipsy - Oct). I lick my lips a lot so they are always super dry. This made them smooth even though my lips looked like sandpaper right before.

 

 

Bad News. The stila eyeshadow is expired. Not only is it expired but it was discontinued 3 years ago.  I really feel for the look bag. According to them, their vendor sold them expired product. I emailed them personally and was told they would be making a public announcement soon. I'm not sure what to do. Cancel? Wait and See? I really hope they address this soon.

Overall, I do like the bag though I would like it more if I could use the eyeshadow. The pop polish is full sized. I've seen others layer it over the orange circus polish (ipsy). I thought about doing my toes this way but who am I kidding. I only change colors when its really chipped and looks horrible :)

UPDATE - I got a email from The Look Bag that states if you got the Stila eyeshadow, you will get an additional product next month. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I don't think its fair to the people who already canceled. I'm giving them another month.

Swaps

I'm addicted to makeup.  I've been trying to spend less so I decided to put up a trade list on MUT. I had no idea what I was in for. I made nearly 30 trades in two weeks! And over $70 on shipping. I got some awesome loot, here's some of my favorites

 

I LOVE the Muppet Show. I grew up watching it, even had my bedroom decorated muppets. I had no idea this palette existed but I when I saw it, I had to have it.

I really like the marbella liner. I got 2 eyeko skinny liners in olive & purple. A stila smudge stick in oscar fish and stila sparkle liquid liner in curacao.

Deborah Lippmann's Private Dancer! I was definitely regretted canceling sample society that month. So glad I was able to swap for it.

 



 

I love this blush. Its brightens your face & has pretty gold undertones.

 

 

I canceled Julep today. So, now I'm down to crave, glossy & my glam (now called Ipsy - wtf?). I was introduced to the madness that is little black bag. I have to cancel, I'm way too addicted! I could open up a new bag everyday. I'll have pics up soon. I signed up for a season of loose button which is based in Canada, another quarterly sub. And I heard that Wantable.co is launching desktop on the 24th & will have updated fall boxes to purchase.

I LOVE this scrub. It really deep cleans your skin.

I use it twice a month since it works so good.

Origins - Perfect World Age Defense Moisturizer

w/ White Tea SPF25. This is a great lightweight

summer moisturizer. It soaks up your skin quickly.

 I actually got this free during their earth day promo.

Charlotte Ronson - A Perfect Mess Beach Hair

I have thick, frizzy, long wavy hair. I wash my hair

at night, use a few drops of Amika's argan oil &

put it in a bun. The next day, all I have to do is undo

the bun, spritz this on & scrunch my hair a little.

I have perfect loose curls that literally takes me minutes to

do. I always get compliments on my hair. It does have

jasmine like scent to it but it doesn't linger.

Stila - One Step Correct skin tone correcting &

brightening serum. Another product I LOVE. I have

some dark spots on my chin but this wonderful serum covers

them right up. $36 @ stila cosmetics

Laura Geller - Balance & Brighten Baked

Foundation in Tan. I dust on a light layer over the

Stila Correct Serum. And my skin looks nearly

flawless (as flawless as its gonna get anyway!). It looks

like I'm not wearing any makeup at all. Its light weight

& lets yourskin breathe.

Cargo - Beach Blush in Coral Beach. LOVE this

blush. I love almost anything from Cargo. Its

gorgeous, it blends well & did I say its gorgeous?!?

They have so many pretty colors too. They have

a decent gwp @ Ulta $30

Benefit - Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Dallas.

Dallas is two shades darker than my natural

lip color. It really moisturizesyour lips & it smells

like peaches.

NYX - Roll on Shimmer in Nude. Oooh,

love this stuff. Its so pretty & sparkly. It looks

great w/ my Filipino skin tone. It can get pretty

sparkly so I roll it on my hand & use a brush to apply.

Benefit Dallas Lip Gloss

Stila - In the Moment Palette. To think I almost

didn't get this because I thought I had too many

purpleshadows. I love improvise, a deep plum color.

Whim is a reddish brown purple & captive is so

gorgeous, I don't even know hot to describe it.

It comes w/ a tetra smudge stick. Swatches soon to come...

Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner Review - Electric & Spectrum

If you have been following me or lurking...I see my page views, I know there are lurkers :)  I really wanted a stila eye liner in my May bb (birchbox) but I didn't get one. Whah, poor me! That justified buying a few @ sephora.

This is the color electric. I love it! I would normally never go for such a bold color like this. It looks mermaidy to me.

I quickly slapped on a coat of mascara just for the pic. My lashes look so much longer! I used Lancome hypnose drama mascara, just one coat. You can get a sample online @ sephora with a $25 purchase. Code: DRAMA

This is spectrum. Its black w/ rainbow glitter.

I'm on the fence about this one. The glitter is somewhat subtle but I'm 33. Am I too old to rock glitter eye liner?

I also bought sequins which is supposed to be a sparkling black color. I already returned it. It didn't look glittery at all - more of a metallic black color.
