RIP Venus

Last Saturday, we took our precious Venus to get spayed and she passed away. She had a blood clot and her little heart couldn't take the surgery. It was devastating. I've lost pets before but it's never hurt this bad.

I've always had a bad feeling about getting her fixed which is why it took me nearly 3 years to schedule the surgery. She's a indoor cat so there was no risk of her getting pregnant. But a few months ago, I learned that cats have a much higher risk to get cancer if left unspayed so I decided that it would be best for her to get fixed. I learned that the surgery is riskier if they are in heat so I ended up rescheduling it twice due to her being in heat.

She is a awesome cat as you can see in her picture. She's gorgeous but has a awesome personality too. I really miss her. We rescued her out of a horrible situation when she was just 5 weeks old. On a whim, I looked up some local cat shelters online and when I saw this sweet boy online, I fell in love.

His name is Jupiter. He has lived in shelters his whole life and he has some health problems. I think he just needs love.

I'm so very sorry. I just lost my 5 year old girl kitty, Ruby to blood clots in her lung. I know your pain all too well, especially when you're not expecting it.
She was beautiful and loved!

Losing a precious kitty is so hard. I had cat pass unexpectedly as well and it's just heart wrenching. You gave her a wonderful life and I know she was very loved.

So sorry, girl :( I had my favorite kitty of all time pass away unexpectedly in a terrible accident last year, and I know how much it hurts <3

I'm sorry that you had to go through that, Souly. I'm sure you will give Jupiter a good home and he can help catch your tears.
